40 Down! 20 To Go!!

What a difference a day makes! The weather gods were definitely looking out for us today because it was dry as a bone and the sun was shining down on us as we walked the second leg of our journey! Breakfast was served at the campsite where all the walkers came together to eat before taking off on the roads. It was a sea of pink and an amazing sight to see. And off we went! We walked from Suwanee to Norcross to Gwinnett and then to Duluth! The support that we got from people in the cars on the road was awesome! People were honking as we walked and it gave us more energy to continue. To know that we only have 20 miles left is such a thrilling feeling. We have accomplished so much in these past two days and still have one day left!

Meghan, Martha and I finished up today's route at the bar to watch the Georgia Bulldogs whip up on the LSU Tigers. It was the perfect end to a perfect day.

Tomorrow is the last day and the Closing Ceremonies. I've packed lots of kleenex in my waistpack because I know that we will need them. I can't wait to let everyone know what it feels like to know that you've reached out to so many people by doing the 3Day. It is going to be one of the biggest accomplishments of my life, and I am so lucky to have experienced something so moving.

Go Dawgs!!

xoxo
