Meghan, Martha and I arrived to the hotel about an hour ago and we're just minutes away from where the Opening Ceremonies are going to take place. As we pulled in to unload the car, we saw lots of walkers getting in their last bit of practice, and it all started to sink in. The 3Day is finally here! We've got everything we need - bags to keep our feet dry, scarves, mittens, hats, ponchos, long underwear. And of course, we came prepared - with two bottles of wine!! We've already had a fashion show where we pulled out everything pink that we packed and decided what we are wearing on the first day. I even tried my clothes on! Thanks to Karl and Glo for letting us borrow the Frogg Toggs - we'll be the driest walkers out there!
Our wake-up call is coming at 5:30am - bright and early tomorrow, so we need to have one more glass of wine and get a really good night's sleep!
Hopefully, I'll be able to report from the road, but if not, then tomorrow night for sure!!
